ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Project Manager, you will hold full accountability for the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction and planning through execution, commissioning, and closeout. You will be empowered to make critical decisions, manage project teams, and serve as the central point of communication for clients. This role requires a deep understanding of construction means and methods, contract administration, and financial controls to effectively manage scope, schedule, and cost.


The Senior Project Manager is the strategic lead for the most complex and high-stakes projects. Beyond technical oversight, you are managing the expectations of owners while providing high-level mentorship to other project team members. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and with uncompromising quality.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Full responsibility for complex construction projects. Direct and manage the planning, execution, and closeout of all projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and contractual requirements.
  • Oversee the master project schedule, identifying long-lead risks and critical path shifts before they impact the bottom line.
  • Lead the negotiation of prime contracts and major subcontracts, ensuring risk is mitigated and the scope is airtight.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for owners, developers, and executive leadership, ensuring transparent communication.
  • Manage and mentor a team of PMs, PEs, and Superintendents, fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
  • Serve as the final point of escalation for significant field issues or contractual disputes.
  • Drive strategic planning for project delivery, including value engineering, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation strategies to optimize project outcomes.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering projects over $250M.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • A history of successful negotiations with subcontractors, vendors, and clients.
  • Proficiency with construction management software for scheduling, reporting, and project documentation.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to report complex logistical and technical information clearly to an executive-level audience.
  • Experience working in a client-facing, consultancy environment is highly preferred. Experience in mission-critical, life sciences, or complex mixed-use projects is a plus.Proven experience managing ground-up construction projects; experience with data centers or other mission-critical facilities is highly preferred.


The base salary range for this position is $165,000–$200,000 annually. This role may also be eligible for bonus opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package. Compensation decisions are based on several factors including experience, qualifications, and business needs.
